CUP WINNING VARIETY
“Sundae Driver” is as complex as it is effective. It’s no wonder it won the High Times 2018 award for best strain for its potency and terpenes. Everything from its name to appearance, aroma to palette, nothing is straight forward with this remarkable strain. A "Sunday driver" is someone who is out for a leisurely drive. Although this strain has been known to inspire such a euphoric occasion, the name "Sundae Driver" does not simply imply a leisurely Sunday drive. Instead, it is a sophisticated homage to the dessert-like qualities inherent in its genetics. This comes as a surprise to no man with parents like Fruity Pebbles OG and Grape Pie.
Both being California-based strains known for incredible aromas and the occasional strong purple accents. These dramatic accents enable this strain's beautifully complex appearance. Sundae Driver’s densely-packed trichrome-laden buds are enveloped in dark teal and forest green sugar leaves with the occasional violet speckle. All of which is interlaced with both Kelly green and lime green calyx and fire orange pistols. Equally complex is its one-of-a-kind nuanced aroma. The first note being an offensive gas smell, which is typical for quality OG strains.
Additional notes often include spicy orange and menthol. All of these various attributes come from Sundae Driver's complex palette of terpenes. For instance, Linalool, Caryophyllene, Limonene, Myrcene, Pinene, Cymene, and Terpinolene. This unique terpene profile is responsible for an array of medicinal benefits. Most notably we have found Sundae Driver to be very effective at addressing such things as anxiety, depression, insomnia, and PTSD.
